Mark 16:15 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Run Like an Evangelist 🏃‍♂️📣

You’ve probably heard the story:
In 490 B.C., after the Greeks defeated the Persians at the Battle of Marathon, a soldier-messenger named Pheidippides ran from the battlefield to Athens, about 25 miles away. His mission? To deliver the good news of victory.

Breathless and exhausted, he burst into the city and shouted, “We have won!”
Then he collapsed and died.

That run inspired the modern marathon, but here’s something most people miss:
In the Greek world, messengers who brought good news of victory were called “evangelists.

The word evangelist comes from the Greek word euangelion, meaning “good news.”
It was a term used for runners who spread news of triumph from one city to another—literally bearers of good news.

In the Bible, that word takes on a deeper meaning.
An evangelist isn’t just someone running with national news—they’re someone running with the greatest news ever told: that Jesus has won the victory over sin and death.

So… Are You Running with the Message?

You don’t need a platform, microphone, or stadium.
You just need the urgency and faithfulness of a runner on a mission.

Pheidippides gave his all to announce a temporary victory.
How much more should we run to share the eternal one?

Time is short. The world needs hope.
Be the messenger. Run with the gospel. Don’t slow down.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
